A woman has sustained serious head and leg injuries after she drove her car off a 12 metre cliff in Double Bay, emergency services were called to the ocean ave address about 3pm.
Once they arrived on scene they located an elderly woman seriously trapped in your vehicle which was on its roof.
She was trapped for around 45 minutes before Police Rescue assisted by Fire and Rescue NSW were able to release her.
She was taken to St Vincent’s hospital in a serious condition.
Rose Bay police are investigating.
