Fire rips thorough chemical factory - Mount Druitt


A fire has ripped though a chemical factory at Mount Druitt.

Three workers were in the warehouse on Kurrajong Avenue when the fire started at around 12:45
the warehouse contained more than 20,000 litres of solvent and resin.

More than 100 firefighters responded, and took just over two hours to bring the fire under control.

Hazardous materials experts evacuated about 50 people from surrounding businesses, but the fire was contained to the factory.
